Principal's Message

Dear Families,

Welcome! It is with great joy that I extend a warm welcome to you as we celebrate the heart of Peru Community Schools—our youngest learners and the incredible community who supports them.

Our teachers and staff are passionate about creating safe, supportive, and engaging classrooms where your children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We know that early childhood is a magical time of growth, and we are honored to be part of each child’s journey.

Thank you for entrusting us with your child. Together—as families, educators, and a united community—we are building the foundation for a lifetime of learning and a love for school that begins right here at Elmwood.

2025-2026 Registration

PCS registration opens Wednesday, July 9th. Skyward log in information will be the same as last year. Incoming kindergarten families, letters are in the mail with log in information. Once you receive it, then you can finish your enrollment online. If you have any questions or need assistance, our front office will be open Wednesday, July 23rd. Thank you!

“Calling the Peru Class of 2038” PERU COMMUNITY SCHOOLS KINDERGARTEN SCREENING

All parents are required to have their kindergartener screened prior to enrollment.

Register for screening online at www.peru.k12.in.us

You will then receive a phone call to schedule a screening appointment at Elmwood Primary Learning Center which will take place in April.

Your child must be 5 years old on or before August 1, 2025
